Operational temperature range (°C) -
- Another important consideration when selecting an oil seal is its compatibility with the oil being used in the machine
Functions - Despite their ubiquity, the design and application of white rubber gaskets continue to evolve. Innovations in material science have led to the development of more resilient compounds that can withstand extreme temperatures and aggressive chemicals, expanding their utility in aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Firstly, it is important to understand what a valve cover gasket is. A valve cover gasket is a seal that sits between the cylinder head and the valve cover, preventing oil from leaking out of the engine and onto the ground. The B20 series valve cover gasket is specifically designed for certain types of engines, ensuring a perfect fit and optimal performance.
- Silicone gasket sheets are equally at home in the construction sector, where they serve as weatherstripping around windows and doors, preventing drafts and reducing energy loss

How to Choose the Right Oil Seal
-
If there are curved seals, fit these to the engine. Smear sealant on the seal groove, stick the seal in place, and apply a blob of sealant to each end of the seal where it joins the gasket.
(if the housing bore has a shoulder)

Reinforced GVP design for larger diameters, with rotation speeds of up to 15 m/s and pressure of 3-4 bar
Synthetic Rubber Oil Seals - Styrene Butadiene Rubber oil seals, or just SBR oil seals, offer strong resistance to abrasions and lesions, making them an ideal seal for fast-moving machinery. With the ability to withstand extreme temperatures with its heat-aging qualities, they can be used in outdoor components. They are also seen as more cost-effective oil seals than natural rubber.
